La Madre Peak

Location: Nevada, Red Rock Area
Elevation : 8,154 ft

Overview...
Turtlehead Peak is located about 15 miles West of Las Vegas and on the North West side of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. (RRCNCA)
This limestone peak ridge can be found easily on the right (North) side of Red Rock Canyon from the city.
La Madre Peak is the highest peak.

Since there is no trail leads to this peak, only a few hikers visit this peak. BLM shut down all the dart road around the city (due to dust problem) and you can't get close to this mountain from Summerlin by vhicle.
