4th of July Fireworks watch from Muffin Ridge

July 4th 2009

After I completed the 4 Peaks in 1 Day hike in Charleston, I have decided to join Branch Whitney's group to Muffin Ridge for watching 4th of July Fireworks.
Since this is not high mountain, I have never interested in climbing this short hill, but its a good opportunity to check it out.
Trail starts Cowboy trail head that's the same trail head to the Fossile Ridge. But this trail goes to East instead of going South. About 100 hikers joined this hike. Even though I new only few of them since most of the hikers were new to the group.
Trail is very narrow and we had to hike in 1 line. Branch Whitney organized the group very well.
We hiked little less than 2 miles and climbed about 800 ft. From there, we could see beautiful Las Vegas Night View.
