| This was my 3rd search for Ron and 2nd time for the North Face of Kraft Mtn. I still believe this area is one of the most dangerous and easy to get lost. I went with Siobhan Murphy. I met her on the Find Ron Kirk Facebook page. At this time, we searched little bit farther North area. I found good class 3+ route at the middle. And we made it to the Peak. My idea was let the Siobhan go first and let her find her own route. Since she doesn't know any terrain around that area, she may get trouble once it gets steep. But, it was the point. Ron might NOT know the route and he might get trouble once it gets steep. I was trying to follow his step with Siobhan's sight. She was trying to find her own way for following cairns. Actually, those cairns are everywhere. And we ended up at the top of class 4 slot.... We went around and fond class 3 route to get to the bottom of class 4 section, and I found that the exactly same slot that I searched week ago with Rachael. Since I knew the route from there, we scrambled down the same pass that I did week ago. We checked the last class 4-5 slots from the top and bottom. Yet, we didn't find anything. |
