The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is an US Air Force version of all-weather, long-range supersonic jet interceptor and fighter-bomber originally developed for the US Navy.
This F-4E (#73-1180) was belonged to 4th TFW, Seymour AFB.
On March 23 1982, it was crashed during "Exercise Red Flag 82".
Both crewmen LTC Johnny Jones and 1LT John H. Knoff died in the crash.
