Summery :

The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is an all-weather tactical fighter aircraft.
This F-15C (#86-0173) was one of 12 sent to Nellis AFB from 48th FW at RAF Lakenheath, England to participate in the Green Flag exercises.
On August 3, 2000, in the first week of the 2000 Green Flag Exercises, the pilot, the mission commander of an eight-ship formation, maneuverd the plane overly aggressive and the plane entered a flat spin in 8000 ft and crashed in the desert. He couldn't regain control and ejected safely.
Pilot, Capt. Christopher Kirby was recovered by an Army Air National Guard UH-60 helicopter.
