Summery :

The Douglas C-47 Skytrain is a military transport aircraft developed from the civilian Douglas DC-3 airliner.
This US Army Airforce C-47B (#43-16151) was on flight from El Paso, Texas to Tucson, Arizona and Palm Springs, California
On December 25, 1944, this Skytrain departed Tucson at 10:48 hours MWT to Parm Springs.
The low clouds hinder his visibility and it entered instrument conditions while flying over mountainous terrain and collided with Black Mesa Mountain, 15 feet below the summit.
All 17 occupants were killed.
The wreckage was located on 28 December 1944
