Summery :

The TB-25 is the pilot-trainer conversion from the North American B-25 Mitchell medium bomber.
This TB-25J (#44-31401) was belonged to 3036th AAF Base Unit, Yuma Army Airfield, AZ.
On 11 August 1945, this aircraft with 5 crews on board took off on routine radar mission enroute from Las Vegas, NV to Yuma, AZ.
At around 6 PM, they called a asking if anyone could read him. Another TB-25J (#44-86881) flying nearby replyied he was approx. 20 miles South of Kingman, AZ.
They answered 'Rodger' and 'Out'. Several minutes later TB-25J (#44-86881) tried to make a contact with them, but no reply.
Apparently the pilot of TB-25J (#44-31401) was confused and lost.
Thunderstorms were reported East of the Colorado river in the mountains area.
The aircraft collided with the mountain at approx. 3,500 ft. then cartwheeled after the initial contact and came to rest approx. 150 ft up the mountain side.
The aircraft was completely demolished and burned.
Since there was no witness also the aircraft was completely demolished and burned, it was impossible to dermine the cause of the accident.
