The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is a supersonic multirole fighter aircraft for the US Air Force. Designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. Over 4,500 aircraft have been built since production was approved in 1976.

This F-16C (#85-1413) was assigned to the 64th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis AFB.

On June 28, 1992, about 5:30 PM, this aircraft was participating in an air-to-air combat training mission when it went down.
Capt Eric Ziegler didn't eject from the aircraft before the crash.
