December 25th 2018

TDU-10/B Dart Towed Aerial Gunnery Target :

TDU-10/B Dart target was developed for the purpose of providing a gunnery target that is compatible with the operating airspeeds and maneuver capabilities of modern fighter aircraft.
It was towed behind another aircraft on 1,500 to 2,000 feet of cable and was equipped with a radar reflector to permit the use of radar gunsights.

I had seen couple of another Dart targets around Sheep/Las Vegas Range near Las Vegas,NV.
Since there was an old Air Force target shooring practice area just North of the town, there are lots of those in the area.
The following pics are taken in Death Valley NP near Trona/Fort Irwin area.
There were lots of 50 cal cartridge on the ground.
Also, I found 20 mm shell and piece of Sea Sparrow missile.
